It started in 1972...
New Hope was established on January 9, 1972, when the first service met in the Willey House - a house still located on the property. The Willey House was owned by Carol and Mary Willey - two charter members of New Hope who housed over 300 foster children in the home over the years. Today, the Willey House is known as the Mountain House - a home for expectant mothers in need of a safe place to stay.
New Hope was planted by a couple of local churches who came together to start a church in Boone County. At the time, the entire area was made up of corn fields and a country road.

A little country church in the middle of corn fields...
The church quickly outgrew the Willey House, and New Hope was gifted 10 acres to build a building. Over the last 50 years, the church has continued to grow, as has the area surrounding Whitestown, Indiana. New Hope purchased 30 additional acres in 2002, which completed the 40 acres that exist with this campus today. The church has grown through 4 major building projects, which each served a specific purpose for serving our church family. The most recent building project was our REACH Initiative in 2016, which completed the building as you see it today.
Where we are headed...
As we embark on this next step of our faith journey Together, we are thankful for the mighty work God has so graciously done through New Hope and those who have sacrificed and faithfully trusted in Him. Through God’s mercy and the sacrificial faith of those before us, each of us and our families have been blessed beyond measure. It is now our time to come Together to continue the legacy of New Hope by loving the families around us in the name of Christ and joining God in reaching our growing community. We invite you to prayerfully consider your participation in this journey. As we have shared in various settings, this is not about a building. This initiative is about living on mission to reach those who are lost, hurting, and suffering without Christ. Our intent is to strengthen each of us in our walk of faith as we live out our personal and collective mission to make disciples. It is also to support and equip families who are striving to raise their children in the Lord. As Jesus described in 1 Corinthians 12, this is only possible when we unite Together, in Him, as the body of Christ. You can learn more about the Together Initiative by clicking the button below:
